About Me
I am an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I received my Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California, San Diego in 2001. My research thus far has focused national belonging, political agency, and historic preservation in Eastern Germany. I conducted research from 1996-1998 in the city of Eisenach in the German state of Thuringia.
